I've heard it said that writers often write the books that they need to read. That is certainly the case with this blog. Throughout my unschooling journey, I've researched high and low for other parents who unschool their children, who tell their stories to help me figure out how to do this for myself. And while I have found some tremendous resources that I will share throughout this blog, I have found that the number of blogs, videos, and books that talk about unschooling are not only scarce, but don't always jive with my views on how my husband and I want to raise our children. Not only do we look to unschool our children, but we are also Catholic, and imparting the Faith to them is of the utmost importance to us. How do we teach our children about God and the world He has created for us, in a way that is engaging and empowers them to become the people that He created them to be, so that they multiply their talents, and not bury them (Mt 25: 14-25).
